What is the process? How do we get started?
First and foremost if you have not worked with us before we require you to fill out a new client info form and send back to us. Then, a $100 deposit is required to secure your spot in line. This down-payment gets you on our wait-list, and ensures that you are serious and ready to get down to business. After the form has been filled out and the deposit has been made we can chat via phone or email about what your wishes are with your design and paint job.
What is your lead time?
We are always booked out at least 4 months from the time you get your deposit in to the time you receive your freshly painted lid. Paint jobs usually take about a week to complete start to finish with a chrome based helmet taking longer due to the extra work involved. Some times of the year are more busy than others, typically January to May are very busy with the new racing seasons starting and November and December can be busy with the holiday season.
What is the deal with a chrome base?
We offer chrome bases which is a spray on chrome using a mixture of silver nitrate and other chemicals to apply an ultra thin layer of silver on the surface of the helmet which makes it appear to look like chrome. We outsource this process to a long time contractor who is the best in the business for this discipline. Since we have to send the helmets out of state the lead time of your paint job will be affected by 2-3 weeks. Despite the extra cost of a chrome base and the extended lead time, it is a very popular option and accounts for around 40% of the jobs we do.
What is the best time of year to send my helmet in to get it back quicker?
We have found that late August thru October is a pretty good time to get in and out quicker than the other times of the year.
Do you do sponsorships or deals if we order more than one helmet at a time?
No, we are a small operation with very limited time as it is. Even if you feel that you could generate business by pushing our product we simply can’t and won’t give deals or sponsorships.
Where can I download design templates to sketch out a proposed design?
We offer Design Templates for download for your specific helmet.

Will you copy a helmet design I like that I found on the internet?
Sorry but no, this is custom helmet paint…for you, why would you spend the money to have someone else’s design? If there is a style or a helmet that really speaks to you and what you really like we can use it as inspiration to generate a one off design for you.
Do you guys sell helmets?
Yes we sure do, we offer helmets from Arai, Bell, and Stilo as well as any accessory associated with those brands. We also sell and install helmet radio kits and Hans anchors.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept check, VISA or Mastercard, bank wire transfer, and cash. If you choose to use a credit card we incur a 3% fee to do so. If you choose to use a wire transfer a $30 dollar fee will be applied.
